The zoo was great. We went to see the baby elephant and got a whole lot more. We had a monkey hang on the cage right in front of us and start chattering at P. He thought that was the coolest thing in the whole world. The twins loved the elephants and giraffes. They thought the baby giraffe was really cool. When it was born it was as tall as me. The bears were out running around, which was really cool.
The twins had never seen the animals so active. It was a beautiful fall day, and was nice and cool in the morning. all the animals were very active. Monkeys were all over the place. The orangutans were all moving around and the youngest one was out of control. It was swinging back and forther around the enclosure.
We took a ride on the train and carousel. It was a lot of fun.
When we were in the small animal enclosure P would walk up to the windows and look at the animals. In one part he was leaning against the glass, and a big rattlesnake was sliding up the glass right in front of his face. Mom wasn't too happy about that. He leaned against another glass enclosure, and the animal jumped onto the ledge right in front of him. He screamed and ran to mom.

The twins ran all over the place, and were able to see all of the animals. The baby snow leopards, baby tigers, and others. It was a great day for all.
